Ministry & Equipping Highlights at FBC-PINE
Small but mighty!  The Clubs at First Baptist Church of Pine reported that they had their AWANA Awards night on April 22nd.  “We have a great group of kids, although it is small, it is wonderful to work with them.  All of our six Sparkies received awards with five of them finishing their book and one receiving his Sparkie Award for finishing 3 books.  We had three T & T Clubbers and two in Trek & Journey 24-7 finish the requirements for the year.  Our TREK 24-7 Clubber received the Meritorious Award.”
Don and Debi Isaacs became involved with Awana in the 80’s through their oldest son. He was invited to club on “Bring A Friend Night” and came home excited to go back. He said, “Mommy, they need helpers”. The next year Don joined them.
Don and Debi then went on to serve on the ministry teams of multiple Awana missionaries until they became Awana Missionaries themselves in early 2005. The Isaacs’ serve the California counties of San Bernardino, Riverside, and South Orange. Along with most of the state of Arizona.
Don and Debi consider it a privilege to be able to serve the Lord through this amazing ministry of reaching kids, youth and their families for Christ, training them to serve and become lifelong followers of Him.
What we do
We serve alongside local churches and organizations to build up the greatest generation of disciples our country has ever seen. We do this through in-person and virtual equipping events, daily communication with ministry leaders, and boots-on-the-ground visits with disciple-makers in their local ministries.
Our favorite role is helping launch a brand new Awana club or Brite* gathering. We love seeing the energy and excitement for these churches as they resolve to help children:
  • Belong to a local church
  • Believe in their need for a Savior and what Jesus did for them
  • Become a resilient disciple of Jesus, ready to live for Him for the rest of their lives.
Thank you for your interest in our ministry, and for what you do to reach children and youth with the gospel. We are thrilled and humbled at your prayers and gifts which make our ministry possible.
