Dear Friends and Prayer Partners,
“I thank my God every time I remember you.” Philippians 1:13.
We are truly blessed by each of you and are so thankful for how you faithfully support us with your prayers. Please let us know if you have anything you would like us to bring to the Father on your behalf when we pray for you.
Teaching English – The long-term volunteer who joined us last fall has changed to a different ministry and so I am going to be teaching English again to our 1st-8th graders (16 kids in 1 class). I love these kids and enjoy my time with them, but the prep and lesson planning takes me a lot of time because of the variation in age and skill level. Pray for me to embrace this responsibility and for my prep time to come together quickly each week. And for the long-term, for the Lord to bring in a skilled English teacher to take my place.
More Space – Beginning next month, we will resume renting some more classroom space for TawSaeng. This will allow us to divide our classes by ages and hopefully be able to add more students.
UPDATE: Sisters Losing Home – Thank you for the emails we received from many of you asking about the sisters who were living with their aunt and were going to have to find a new place to live. Unfortunately, both girls have decided to drop out of school. Besides TawSaeng staff, we were working with two other projects who were also helping these girls. None of us could get them to see the benefits of continuing school, now and for the future. The older sister has moved back to another province with her mother (not sure what her current status is with drugs). Her plan is to go back to Laos, where they were born, in order to get a Laos ID card so she can return to Thailand to work. We don’t know what the younger sister has chosen to do. We pray that the time they spent at TawSaeng over the past 9 months made a great impact. They were able to see one of our students accept Jesus and two others get baptized. They participated in small groups and shared about some difficult things. Pray with us for the Lord to protect and guide them and that they will seek Him.
Staff & Volunteers – Continue prayer for us to find a Christian Thai staff member who will be a great fit with our team and add a lot to our program. We are also in need of short-term and long-term volunteers who can help us with our day-to-day program, specifically in teaching English. We hope to hire in March.
Blessings on each of you,
