Our Mission & Vision
The mission of First Baptist Church of Pine is to love God, to love others, and to magnify the name of Jesus Christ. We exist to fulfill the command of Christ to make disciples. We accomplish this task by demonstrating the love of Christ to a lost world, nurturing believers through fellowship and developing laborers for His work.
Our Pastor:
Our pastor recognizes the authority of the Word of God and realizes that we are shepherds who serve under the Chief Shepherd, Jesus Christ. We desire to devote ourselves to prayer and to the ministry of the Word. Our passion and goal is to equip the believers for the work of the ministry until we all attain maturity in the fullness of Christ.
Interim Pastor Todd Forrest
Todd Forrest has lived his whole life in ministry growing up as a pastor’s and missionary’s son. He has been in active ministry as pastor and in missions since 1990. He is the Vice President of Children of Promise Intl. caring for orphans in 12 countries and directing all work in India. He and his wife, Debbie, have three children. All three have graduated from GCU. Personal interests include many outdoor pursuits, the further away from civilization the better.
Pastor Emeritus Michael Ward
Pastor Mike Ward is still serving First Baptist Church of Pine as a Pastor Emeritus. He has a passion for deliberately and carefully sharing the truths of Scripture. He served at First Baptist Church of Pine for forty years. He and his wife Barbara have 3 children and 4 grandchildren. Pastor Mike is passionate about missionary work and has a heart for the poor.
