Seeking a new Pastor-Teacher to replace our retiring Pastor

The First Baptist Church of Pine (FBCP) is an independent, elder-lead Baptist church with a regular
weekly attendance of 70 to 80 adults. The church’s Pastor of the past 40 years is retiring and the church is seeking a new Pastor to guide and oversee the ministry of the church.

Church history and ministry

Pine is a town of about 2,000 located at 5500 feet elevation in the mountains of Central Arizona. Pine has its own grade school; high school is in Payson, a town of about 17,000 twenty minutes south of Pine. Pine has an active home-schooling community of families.

The first service of FBCP was held in August 1971. The church sanctuary, gym, classrooms, offices, and kitchen are debt-free. The church has a three-bedroom two-story parsonage next to the church and a four-bedroom home in Pine, both debt-free. The church is located on State Highway 87, a major North-South Arizona highway.

Since its founding more than 50 years ago, the church and its ministry have grown and now draws attendees from Pine and surrounding communities. The ministries include morning and evening worship services on Sunday, an adult Sunday School class and children’s church, men’s and women’s weekly Bible studies, annual VBS, and an AWANA program. International missions outreach is a significant focus of the church’s interest, activity, and budget. The church also hosts a wide range of activities for members and attendees as well as outreach to the community.

The church is committed to both evangelism of unbelievers and discipling believers. A full description of the church’s vision and mission is on the church website.
