Missionaries Highlights for December 2025
 
Aaron and Karen Beckner – Ripe for the Harvest
 
They are located in Thailand. Both Aaron and Karen travel to remote areas bringing food and supplies to small villages, they also mentor their students, these students come from impoverished families, many who still are still living in the slums, some families work on the streets or are being trafficked. Continue to pray for the Beckners as they minister to the lost in Thailand.
 
Sean and Ruthann Cross – World Venture
 
They are located in Spain. Both Sean and Ruthann continue to work at Evangelical Christian Academy, mentoring young students in their, this past year they were asked to mentor a freshman class, and feel they have adopted 15 children, as they all grow together and learn about God’s word.
 
Dr. Hugo Gomez – Global CHE – Central America
 
Dr. Gomez has accompanied FBC Pine on several trip to Guatemala, as of now Dr. Gomez is in the transitioning phase of retirement, during this period he is training his son Junior to fill his spot at  Global CHE.
 
 
Raphael and Vena Heraldes – San Luis, Mexico
 
Raphael has partnered with the Cordovas in Somerton, AZ. When they first started they were just having Bible studies in local homes in the area, as years have past, they have been able to purchase land and build a church, that has grown over the past 15 years plus. As Francisco and Cecila Cordova, continue to work with the local Hispanic population
 
Dr. Azucena Matute – World Outreach – Panama
 
Dr. Matute is serving the small villages in Panama, she travels to very remote areas to bring health aide, to those who cannot afford medical treatments, or they don’t have access to the medical facilities. This past year Dr. Matute, under went surgery on her foot, and is still in recovery for that, in the meantime, Dr. Matute is in the process of obtaining a place of her own, please continue to pray for healing, and as she travels to these remote areas to help medically, and spiritually.
 
Tom and Deborah Nite – International Biblical – Pastoral Training.
 
When we first started supporting Tom, he was in Russia, training young men in becoming the next generation of Pastors, Tom and Deborah have moved to different areas of the world over the last 20 years, as of now he is in Moldova, when the war broke out in Ukraine, Tom and Deborah both found so many who were hungry for God’s word. In September by God’s grace they have completed nine weeks of intense training, they were able to equip a total of 47 students, these less privileged leaders and disciples, who came from 12 countries across Africa, out of those 18 students graduated. Please continue to pray for the Nite’s as they continue to work with those in very dangerous areas.
 
Violet Berger – Christian Jew Foundation, Phoenix, AZ
 
We first started to support Violet’s husband Barry Berger, as time went on Barry was called home to be with the Lord. Concerned if his ministry would continue on working with the Jewish people, Violet was received with open arms, and has continued to bring God’s chosen people to accept Jesus as the Messiah that was promised by God. Violet continues with all the traditions of the Jewish people.
 
Myke and Melody Dickens – Mission Doors – ASU Poly Tech – Glendale, AZ
 
Myke and Melody continue to work with the students at ASU, they have been studying thru the book of Ephesians, and Galatians, they try and bring up a group of students to Pine, at least once a year, during a school break. Myke has taken on some new responsibilities with Missions Door, as Director of Ministries in US/Canada. This will involve the oversight of our non-campus western US missionaries, primarily through three regional overseers in AZ., WY., and WA.  Please continue to pray for the Dickens.
 
Special Individual- Missions Door – ASU
 
This special person works with the Muslim students, and their families, please continue to pray as they reach out to these young adults.
 
Don and Nancy Orvis – Commission Ministry – Oracle, AZ
 
Don has worked with FBC Pine, organizing mission trips, this past year Nancy has struggled with her health, and both Don and Nancy decided it was time to move closer to family, to make it easier to help care for them, they started their move this past summer, and are now living in Clarence, Iowa, and even though they will not be going on these mission trips, they continue to help organize these trip for groups, who are willing to go and make disciples. Please continue to pray as they transition into their new life, and for Nancy’s health.
