Where Can I Serve?

Jesus told us, His disciples, to make disciples of all nations. One of the most important values of is our mission to the world. It begins in our own community, and spreads overseas to every nation. FBC Pine members are involved in a variety of ministries from things as simple as preparing meals, to preparing the church bulletins.

Mission Outreach

We are active in sending missionaries and supporting these missionaries with our money and with our prayers. The  missionaries we support are located all over the world—Africa, Asia, Central America, Europe, Mexico. and North America.  Each year, a small team travels to one of these countries to assist our missionaries in practical projects and evangelistic outreach. We encourage all of our people to respond to God’s call for laborers, whether it means that they move to a foreign country or live and minister in our own community.

AWANA Clubs

AWANA is an acrostic for Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed from 2 Timothy 2:15 “Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the Word of Truth.”  Our AWANA Clubs are for children in Kindergarten through 12th grade and meet at the church(except for holidays or adverse weather).  On Mondays between 2:30-4:00pm the Sparks (K-2nd) meet and at 4:00-5:30pm the T & T (3rd-6th), Trek 24-7 and Journey 24-7 (7th-12th) meet.  Our clubs are in session August through April.  AWANA is a non-denominational, Christ-centered Bible club where children memorize Bible verses while working through a handbook, play games and have a Bible-based devotional message each week

Prayer Warriors

Prayer cannot be overestimated. Prayer moves the hand of God.  As a body of believers dependent upon prayer, and committed to God’s sovereignty. Throughout the week, volunteers to our Prayer Warriors team, pray for their pastor, any special requests, and missionary prayer needs.

Children’s Church

In order to give our children the best Bible teaching possible, we hold a children’s church service in conjunction with the main service. This special time gives kids more opportunity for interaction and learning in a context and manner that may be better suited to their age and learning styles. Our friendly children’s church volunteers have an endless stream of creativity–ranging from puppet shows, to games, to object lessons.  Our Children’s Church is for ages 5-10 years old, and are dismissed at the end of our songs of worship during the regular church service.

Nursery

An important part of the family life at FBC Pine is a Sunday Morning nursery where infants are cared for in a loving and devoted way. Even here the small children can learn this simple stories of Jesus who loves and cares for them and others of their family.  Our Nursery is for children birth to 4 years old.

Bible Study

Each week men and women study the Word of God in preparation for Sunday Morning prior to the Morning Worship service.  It is a delight to study the Word of God with others, exploring the rich truth found in the Bible.  These truths not only help us to know the Word of God, but prepare us each week to take these truths into our daily activities, so that we may be those who can live out the transformed lives of committed disciples of Jesus Christ.
